PH 658 - Great Britain

1795 - Entire consisting of three very long pages of questions put to a Mr John Grey in respect of a suit (Elives v. Elioves) in the consistory court of London. A superb fascinating document, beautifully written. Face bears a crossed-out 2d M/S charge mark replaced by a 5d M/S charge mark. Reverse bears a double rim with centre circle London unpaid stamp; "AP / D / 17 / 95" (as A&M fig. 23).
