PH 312 1830. Entire from Dalkieth to London Ordinance Office. Double rim, red handstamp: "B/18MR18/1830", and black, single rim: "MAR/W16M/1830", both on reverse with nice, black, wax seal. Add ½ mark and manuscript ½ on face. £10.00 [PH 312]
PH 443 1830 (14th Feb). Entire to EDINBURGH, bearing crossed out black manuscript "1/1½" charge mark, which was replaced by manuscript "2/2½" charge mark. Very nice "G Crown R" inspector mark. On reverse is a straight line black LYBSTER backstamp and a red single circle: "FEB/14/1830" datestamp. Lovely black wax seal depicting ladies head and shoulders. Some tearing on reverse, caused when opened originally, and 2½cm fold tear at side. £25.00 [PH 443]
PH 495 1830 (26th Oct). Letter with lovely, handstruck, charge mark "l", on face. Reverse bears boxed: "1 o'CLK PM/26 OCT/1830" datestamp. Some toning and clean repair to back of middle area. Does not detract. £5.00 [PH 495]
PH 432 1831 (19th Jul). A single page of a two page letter. Face bears a black-boxed: "T.P/Coml Rd W." (Comercial Road) and a black, handstruck, charge mark "2". Reverse bears an indistinct, red crowned, double rim oval: "10.F NOON.10/JY19/1831" datestamp. £6.00 [PH 432]

PH 313 1832 (22nd Nov). Letter to Standard Life Insurance, requesting insurance of £5000 on the life of the Honourable "W.P.T.L. WELLESLEY". Face bears black M/S charge mark and reverse bears indistinct, red, Branch Office "Clearing Cross", Maltese Cross datestamp, and red, single circle: "NOV/C24A/1833" datestamp. £4.00 [PH 313]
PH 458 1832 (26th Dec). Entire to LONDON, with straight line, black "DALKIETH", red, double rim, datestamp: "B/29/DE29/1832" and red, single rim, datestamp: "DEC/Z26E/1832", all on reverse. Face bears a red (now brown) manuscript, charge mark: "½d" and a black: "Add!/½", tax mark. £18.00 [PH 458]
PH 212 1833 (6th Jun). Wrapper to "Athenean" Pall Mall, London. Crisp, red "morning" double oval (last year of use) on reverse, with blank, red wax seal. £6.00 [PH 212]
PH 510 1833 (13th Jun). A letter headed, "Parliament/June 13.1833", to a Mr WILLIAM LEAF. Signature of sender difficult to read, but the initials on the intact, red seal, might assist. Face bears green boxed: "T.P/Bge St Westminster". Reverse bears red oval: "Noon/14.JU/1833" datestamp. Paper watermarked "JOHN HALL/1830". £10.00 [PH 510]
PH 520 1833 (18th Jun). Letter from MANCHESTER to LONDON. Face bears manuscript charge mark and reverse bears red, unframed: "MANCHESTER/JU18/1833", and under-inked, red: "G/19JU19/1833", receiving mark. £5.00 [PH 520]
PH 475 1834. Report for "Scottish Widows", on the health of Leopold Schmidt (Clothier), of 18, St James street, LONDON. Paid handstamp, in red: "Chief Office/2PY P PAID" (prepaid), and double rim oval: "PAID/MY5/NIGHT" (in red), on reverse. £10.00 [PH 475]
PH 462 1834 (23rd Jun). With small, double arc: "PERTH/23/JU/1834" datestamp, in black, and red, single circle: "JUNE/H24M/1834" datestamp, on reverse, and manuscript "11", on face, with prominent "½" tax mark. £18.00 [PH 462]
PH 327 1834 (25th Jun). On large piece. Face bears unframed, double arc: "OXFORD/JU25/1834/A" datestamp and red, Tombstone: "B/PAID/26JU26/1834" datestamp. Also a nice boxed: "PAID AT OXFORD" in black. £25.00 [PH 327]

PH 294 1834 (7th Nov). A Norwich Union Life insurance receipt, posted on 7th November, 1834 to Greenock. Face bears an unframed single arc, red, "PAIDATEDINB/NOV7/1834" datestamp, and a red manuscript charge mark "8". Illustrated receipt for £8-18-9 for Life Cover of £250-00, signed by two directors and the agent. Also bears an embossed 3d crowned stamp and name of insured party. £20.00 [PH 294]

PH 430 1835 (30th Jun). Single page health report on prospective client for life insurance. Front bears black handstruck "l" charge mark and reverse bears black, octagonal framed: "8AM/30JUN/1835" time and datestamp. Small tear on reverse edfe. £6.00 [PH 430]
